Task One: January 27, 2010 – February 16, 2010
Teams will gather at Saint Mary’s University, Scotia Bank Theatre for the unveiling of task one. Students will be given the chance to ask questions, receive materials and hear from guest speakers.
Task Two: February 17, 2010 – March 9, 2010
Teams will gather at Saint Mary’s University, Scotia Bank Theatre for the unveiling of task two and the announcement of the winners from task one. Task two will involve developing a creative strategy and presenting to a panel of judges. The top half of the winning teams will move on to the final round.
Task Three: March 10, 2010 – March 30
The top half of the teams from task two will move onto the final task. Teams will be working with an international company to develop a marketing campaign. Teams will be presenting their campaign to a panel of executive judges. All presentations will be followed by a question and answer period. The judging panel will collectively decide the winning team for task three. The winning team of task three, along with the overall winner of the Trumped Competition will be announced at the closing ceremonies. Please Note: No audio/visual equipment other than a computer, projector and white screen (i.e. for PowerPoint slides) is allowed for presentations. Audio/visual equipment will be provided by the host school, however, it is strongly recommended that competitors bring their own computer in case of technical issues.
